Dang it...Beavis

We're not moving. Dang it, Beavis, we're not going anywhere. Well, not this year anyways. I'm not sure what happened but B+ received his posted notice yesterday expecting to be in one of two places, both of which are not here, and whattaya know, we're still here...for at least another year anyways. Oh well...

It's weird too eh, cuz I was worried and stressed about all the things I'd be losing by moving away from here, but then switched my thinking around to all the things I'd be gaining if I went somewhere new with B+. Now that I'm staying, I'm thinking of all the things I wont gain from moving, almost as if I'd lost them regardless of the fact that I never had them in the first place. It's a roller coaster life style fo shizzle.

Anyhoo, what else is new? Um, I'm going snowboarding again on Thursday. I'm think of designing some sort of underwear with gel packs that can be inserted right at the tail bone area. I figure I could contact Burton as they are one of the leading suppliers for snowboarding equipment, I think, and seeing if they'd consider my invention. ha ha Realistically, I'd be surprised if anyone responded to my email.

OH, we're heading to Tasmania, Aus in less than two weeks. OH HOLY COW, I'm soo pumped for the beach. I check the weather daily and it's holding to mid-twenties so far. I can handle that. It is their Fall, after all. We have a list that we've compiled collectively of things we'd like to do while we're there. (I promise to take oodles of photos) Some of the things I"m psyched for are the Wine tour (My personal favourite, I've never been on one and I DON"T plan to do the driving) Ghost tour of the old prison for really bad prisoners, the zoo, my cousin has a sailboat, hiking in some serious mountains...the list goes on and on.

I heard, however, that some of the worlds most deadliest spiders and snakes live there. Now, in the best of circumstances, I'm terrified of snakes and spiders, which is ridiculous if you consider our size differences. Regardless, my fear of creepy-beyond-all-reason critters is legitimate, and now that I know they have the potential to kill me, it's going to be amplified 10,000,000 fold.
Exaggerate? Nope, not here, no way is one single deadly snake or spider gonna come near me. I will wear heavy netting and gaiters up to my hips, around me at all times if I have too. Oh, did I mention the sharks in the water? For such a beautiful place, it sure is deadly. I'll get B+ to shake out my clothes and shoes for me every morning. He's much braver than I am. I have no qualms about admitting my cowardice when it comes to my untimely death.

Oh, I know there's no photos here today, but you can see some of my work (in random fashion) in Facebook. I really think Facebook is taking over the world. It's right up there with MacIntosh and their "iNation" they are creating. ha ha

Click here, oh oh oohh, click here, puleeeaasssee...oh oh pick me pick me...

Cheers y'all

I lived in Tasmania for a year.

The spider count is much worse on the mainland. The worst you will see spiderwise is The Huntsman - which has a fairly nasty bite, but it's not fatal. You get Redbacks too, but there are small in Tassie, and few and far between.

I'm guessing you are going to Port Arthur (the old prison). It's beautiful there.

Get to Wineglass Bay if you have the chance. It rates as one of the top ten beaches in the world, apparently. It's lovely there.

Oh, I cannot WAIT to see pics from your trip!! And my friend Tattoo guy at work just told us some nightmarish stories about spiders in Australia that he encountered when he was stationed there, but for your sake I will NOT repeat them. We're gonna go with UTMG's spider theory so that you can sleep while you are there. ;)

Have fun!!
